Barbie is a 26 year old paint mare who’s family had to place her somewhere because of life changes. All rescues the family contacted were full ( as we are) and her only choice was euthanasia, we decided we had room for 1 more!!!! When Barbie first arrived she had a very matted tail and was a bit underweight. Her owners thought that she had been in heat for a long time. It turned out she had an infection in her uterus. After not one but two rounds of drugs it looks like it has cleared up. Barbie would make a wonderful pasture pet. She does a little light riding at the farm with our volunteer Grace! We hope that Barbie can thrive here and enjoy her twilight years.
