Gigi came to us as a 25 year old starved horse that was saved from slaughter after her owners decided they didn't want to take care of her anymore. She was about 400 lbs under weight and her hair just peeled off her back. After a few months as a yard pony and getting proper nutrition and a lot of love she was moved into a pasture with her friend Barbie! These girls are so sweet together. Gigi just recently has been adopted by Natalie Endres, a Toni's Ponies volunteer who fell head over heels for her. She is now being boarded here at the rescue and we are so glad that we get to continue to see her come back to full health.
